Book Review: Tubby

June 1, 2011

I know.

The title is a bit silly.  I swear it’s not a self-help book.  Nor is it a book about 7x7xDaddy.*

This is Tubby.

A children’s book about bath time.  All I can say is where on earth has Leslie Patricelli been all my life?!?

When I strolled into the Russian Hill Bookstore on Polk Street today, I was not expecting to laugh out loud while flipping through some baby books. In fact, I’m not sure if I’ve ever laughed out loud while reading baby books.

But I’m telling you…there’s just something about this book.

For example.

OK…now you try and tell me that didn’t make you laugh…or at least smile.

The best part is that Tubby is full of pages like this…wonderful colors, laughable graphics, teachable lessons, and universally humorous topics (at least for those with a sense of humor and an imagination).

If you feel like laughing along with your little one, I highly recommend Tubby!

Ages: 1-3

Price: $6.99

Style: Board Book

*I couldn’t help myself. That was for his fraternity brothers and friends. And for him. Trust me, he’s laughing.
